Click on headline for story with photo(s) The next previous progress report:Mary's House Progress report: Block laying underway> By Fran Neat News from Mary's House What a difference a day makes!!! Monday morning, September 10, 2012 at 6amCT, a local company, Mercy Lane Construction, began framing up Mary's House at 550 Beach Top Rd, Columbia, KY. A day later shortly after 1pmCT on Tuesday, the last truss was set. The committee thanks both Mercy Lane Construction and Garrison Construction for their donation of time, labor, and equipment. Mary's House is quickly becoming a reality thanks to the heartfelt support of all who decided to help after Mary's home burned. Click on Readmore or Headline for the details on Mary's House and ways to become a supporter of this project and future projects of the committee Donations are still coming in with over $44,000 received to date. Mary's House went over the top for minimum funds to start construction at 11:30amCT, August 9, 2012 And the major effort on the fund drive was complete, enough so that the Mary's House committee was assured that, with reasonable trickle in additional funding, God's Amazing Grace would see the project through to completion. Hopefully, donations will continue to come in, so that the next major fund drive might be for another cause. Your help for the basic furnishing of the house is still needed. If you haven't contributed or if you would like to add to your original donation, information is included below: Mary's House: the story and the contacts: Cane Valley Christian Church, along with a group of concerned citizens, is raising money to build a new house for Mary McGuffin, a single, working mother with seven children, whose house recently burned. Checks are to be made to Cane Valley Christian Church Benevolence Fund with a memo of "Mary's House." The Start Construction goal has been met, but money for hidden costs, furniture, and contingencies is still needed.
