Geneva Akin Moss, Taylor County, KY (1919-2012)

She was a native of Green County, KY, and a member of a highly regarded Campbellsville, KY, family. She was the widow of the late D.C. Moss and the mother of Donna Smith of Columbia, KY. She leaves 6 direct living descendants. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Geneva Akin Moss, 92, Campbellsville, KY, died at 8:55amCT. Monday, September 10, 2012 in Columbia, KY.

Funeral services will be at 11amET/10amCT, Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Pastor Wayne Brooks. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Highway, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be at the funeral home, 5pm-8pmET/4pm7pmCT,Wednesday, September 12, 2012.



Pallbearers: Robert Akin, Rocky Akin, Fred Clem, Mike Elmore, Brent Mershon, and Chase Mills.

Geneva Akin Moss, Taylor County, KY (1941-2012)

Geneva Akin Moss of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ellis Akin and Carrie Bale Akin, was born Friday, December 23, 1919, in Green County, KY. She died Monday, September 10, 2012 in Columbia, Adair County, at the age of 92 years, 8 months, and 18 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She was united in marriage to D. C. Moss on December 24, 1941. He preceded her in death on December 2, 1983.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter and son-in-law: Donna and Dr. Roger Smith of Columbia, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Leah Levi and husband, Gary of Campbellsville, KY; and David Smith of Louisville, KY

  • Three great-grandchildren: Samantha Levi and Taylor Levi of Campbellsville, KY; and Daulton Smith of Louisville, KY

  • One brother and one sister: Russell Akin of Campbellsville, KY; and Virginia Caulk of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
