News from Mary's House

Before 7amCT, Thursday, September 6, Rod Lawless and his crew assembled at the site at 550 Beechtop Road, Columbia, KY, where Mary McGuffin's house is being built to begin laying blocks. Photos in this update show the progress.

Mary's House went over the top for minimum funds to start construction at 11:30amCT, August 9, 2012

And the major effort on the fund drive was complete, enough so that the Mary's House committee was assured that, with reasonable trickle in additional funding, God's Amazing Grace would see the project through to completion.

Hopefully, donations will continue to come in, so that the next major fund drive might be for another cause.

Your help for the basic furnishing of the house is still needed. If you haven't contributed or if you would like to add to your original donation, information is included below:

Mary's House: the story and the contacts:
Cane Valley Christian Church, along with a group of concerned citizens, is raising money to build a new house for Mary McGuffin, a single, working mother with seven children, whose house recently burned.

Checks are to be made to Cane Valley Christian Church Benevolence Fund with a memo of "Mary's House." The Start Construction goal has been met, but money for hidden costs, furniture, and contingencies is still needed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the people listed below:

- DEBBIE WHITE, 501 Beechtop Road, Columbia, KY 42728
Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, - Larry Neat, Chairman, Home Building Project
