Jean Delp passed away Thursday August 23, 2012. She was 80.

Funeral services are 11amET/10amCT, Monday August 27, 2012 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Jeric DeVore officiating. Burial is at Cold Springs Cemetery. Visitation is 5pm-8pmET/4pm-7pmCT, Sunday, August 26, 2012, at the funeral home and Monday, August 27, from 8amET/7pmCT, until funeral service.



Pallbearers: Mickey Goode, Glen Phillips, Jr., Jerry Coffman, Rick Roby, Jeric DeVore , Ronnie Atwood, Ronald Wright and Donald McAnelly.

Honorary pallbearers: James and Michelle McAnelly, and Chad, April, Dalton, Madison,and Carli Weddle, Zack and Nikki Delp, and Matt, Jeania , Wesley, and Anna Beth True.

Born October 17, 1931 in Adair County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Goode and Nannie Bett Goode Randall. She died Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the age of 80 years, 10 months, and 6 days.

She was retired from Union Underwear after 32 years of service, worked in the food service program at Phillips Elementary School, and a caregiver of the elderly after retirement . She was a member of the Sanders Chapel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Jean Delp the widow of Carl Delp.

Survivors include:
  • Son: Brent (Helena) Delp of Liberty, KY

  • Two daughters: Donna (Kim) Shaw of Lexington, KY; and Judy (Roger) Weddle of Liberty, KY

  • Four grandchildren; James Donald (Michelle) McAnelly , Chad (April) Weddle, Jeania (Matt) True and Zack (Nikki) Delp

  • Five great-grandchildren, Madison, Dalton, Carli, Anna Beth, and Wesley

  • Brother: Virl (Jackie) Goode of Columbia, KY

  • Sister: Vola Freeman of California

  • Special caretakers: Sherry Luttrell and Barbara Norman; and the employees of Campbellsville Retirement Home.
In addition to her parents, step-father, Neal Randall, and husband , she was preceded in death by brothers, Wallace Sanders Goode and Ballard Goode and four sisters, Pauline Schweitzer, Beatrice Julianne, Leona Murphy and Marie Vanoy.
