Westlake Regional Hospital is open and available to all Submitted by Cheryl Wall Statement from Westake Regional Hospital One of Westlake's employees posted a statement on the Columbia Magazine that implies that Westlake Regional Hospital might deny care to anyone who signs the petition seeking to recall the Ad Valorem Tax passed recently by our Board of Trustees. All Citizens of Adair County and the surrounding communities need to know that Westlake Regional Hospital is open and available to everyone who needs our care, and we would never even consider denying treatment to anyone who presents themselves to our hospital in need of treatment. We are here to serve the health care needs of our friends and neighbors. Westlake Regional Hospital is a seventy-four (74) bed general acute care hospital owned by the Adair County Hospital District. The hospital, located at 901 Westlake Drive, Columbia, KY, is accredited by The Joint Commission and has a medical staff composed of several medical specialties and Family Nurse Practitioners. Westlake Regional Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient medical services to Adair County and surrounding communities with a total population of approximately 35,000. The Emergency Department provides 24 hour per day, 7 day per week treatment for medical emergencies and the hospital has five (5) clinic locations located throughout the region.
