Lyda Kendall Rice, Sandy Hook, KY (1919-2012) She was a member of a large, highly regarded Elliott County, KY, family, and the mother of Bob Rice of Columbia, KY. Lyda was a member at Laurel Gorge Enterprise Baptist Church. She was a retired teacher Lyda Kendall Rice age 92 of Sandy Hook, Kentucky passed away Wednesday morning, August 08, 2012 at St Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held 1pmET/12pm noon CT, Saturday, August 11, 2012 in the Chapel of Waddell & Whitt Funeral Home, 1260 N. KY 7, Sandy Hook, KY, with Brother Eugene Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in the Elliott County Memory Gardens in Sandy Hook, Kentucky.Friends may call from 6pm-9pmET/5pm-8pmCT, Friday evening, August 10, 2012 and after 9amET/8amCT, Saturday until the service hour at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Courtney Allen Rice, Chris McGlone, Howard Stephens, Lance Jones, Sean Kazee and Roger Mayse. Lyda Kendall Rice, Sandy Hook, KY (1919-2012) Mrs. Rice was born Sunday, September 7, 1919. She was a daughter of the late William and Lulia Stamper Kendall. She died Wednesday, August 8, 2012, in Morehead, Rowan County, KY, at the age of 92 years, 11 months, and 1 day. Lyda was a member at Laurel Gorge Enterprise Baptist Church. She was a retired teacher.In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three brothers, Burl Kendall, Warren Kendall and Skyler Kendall; one daughter-in-law, Juanita Rice. She is survived by the following:
