Merlin Wayne, Taylor Co., KY (1942-2012)

Merlin Wayne of Campbellsville, son of Sarah Paige Wayne and the late Walter Wayne, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, April 25,1942. He died at 1:25 P.M., Sunday, August 5, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 70

Funeral services will be at 1pmET/12pm noon CT, Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Woodlawn Christian Church, 831 West Main Street, Campbellsville by Pastor Larry "Fella" Wilson and Rev. Ron Young. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be after 10amET/9amCT, at Woodlawn Christian Church.



Pallbearers: Terry Cox, David Chewning, David Clark, Terry Russell, Jerritt Skaggsand Billy Vaughn.

Merlin Wayne was the son of Sarah Paige Wayne and the late Walter Wayne. He was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, Saturday, April 25,1942. He died Sunday, August 5, 2012 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 70 years, 3 months, and 10 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Woodlawn Christian Church.

He was an employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and a farmer.

He is survived by the following:
  • One son: Neil Wayne and his mother, Marsha Wayne of Campbellsville, KY

  • One step-daughter: Nichole Salyers and husband, Logan of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three step-grandchildren: Chelcie Salyers, Hunter Salyers and Levi Salyers

  • His mother: Sarah Wayne of Campbellsville, KY

  • One sister: Donna Hedges and husband, Walt of Jackson, Tennessee

  • And many other relatives and friends
