James Keith Abney, age 77 of Marrowbone, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at his home.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 2pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Bro. Raymond Castillo officiating. Burial in the Marrowbone Cemetery.Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Monday, July 30, 2012 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.



James Keith Abney, Marrowbone, KY (1935-2012)

He was born on July 10, 1935 in Cumberland County, KY. He was the son of the late Jessie Calvin and the late Clarice Ballard Abney. He died Sunday, Sunday, July 29, 2012, at the age of 77 years, 11 months, and 12 days.

He attended Waterview Church of Christ and was a longtime body mechanic for McCoy Chevrolet and Long's Auto Sales.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Kate Smith, and one brother Charlie Abney.Survivors Include:
  • His wife: Anna Pearl Norris Abney of Marrowbone, KY

  • One daughter: Jimmie Dawn Abney of Marrowbone, KY

  • Two grandchildren: James Daniel Holland, and Jacob Wray

  • One niece: Debbie Traylor of Summer Shade, Kentucky

  • Two nephews: Roy Smith of Louisville, KY and Kenneth Lee Smith of Chicago, Illinois
