She was the matriarch of a large, highly regarded Casey County family. She was the widow late Archie Lee Edwards and the last of her large, immediate family. She was preceded in death by 11 siblings. She leaves 99 direct living descendants. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church

Sally Mae Adams Edwards passed away Saturday July 21, 2012 at the Liberty Care Center. She was 100.Born May 31, 1912 in Casey County, KY, she is the daughter of the late Archie R. and Pricilla Atwood Adams. Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker and member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church.

Funeral services are 1pmET/12pm noon CT, Tuesday July 24, 2012 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Don Walden officiating. Burial is at Caney Fork Cemetery.Visitation is 6pm-9pmET/5pm-8pmET, Monday, July 23, 2012, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers; Chris Edwards, Randy Foster, Michael Foster, Byron Gabehart, Blake Goldburg, Dennis Russell, Doug Russell, Barry Russell, Marty Scott and Jeff and Greg Rodgers.

Sally Mae Adams Edwards was born, Friday, May 31, 1912 in Casey County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Archie R. and Pricilla Atwood Adams. She passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 in Liberty, Casey County, KY at the age of 100 years, 1 month, and 21 days.

Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker and member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church.

She is the widow of the Archie Lee Edwards.

Survivors include the following:
  • Sons: Archie Robert Edwards of Louisville, KY, and Chester Edwards of Liberty, KY

  • Daughters: Evelyn Russell of Hustonville, KY; Janie Rodgers of Liberty, KY: Priscilla Adams of Liberty, KY; Patricia Vaught of Liberty, KY; and Lola Foster of Betheridge, KY

  • Twenty-seven grandchildren

  • Forty-one great grandchildren

  • And twenty-four great great grandchildren
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by three daughters, Naomi Edwards, Elizabeth Scott and Geneva Gabehart; three grandchildren; four brothers, Johnny , Monroe, Robert, and Howard Adams; and seven sisters, Katherene Stafford, Ollie Buck, Stella Carr, Eula Adams, Mabel Davis, Anna Adams, and Mildred Adams.
