The main threats from these stormsagain will be locally heavy rainfall...Cloud to ground lightningand gusty winds. The National Weather Service in Louisville, KY, has issued the following forecast for Columbia, KY. this forecast from update at 4:15amCT July 15, 2012
Today - Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 10am and 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 86. Southwest wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tonight - Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Patchy fog after 3am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
