Mary Christeen Bradshaw, Adair Co., KY (1921-2012)

She was a member of a large, highly regarded West Adair County family. She was the widow of Lawrence Bradshaw, a member of the Columbia Christian Church and a homemaker.

Mary Christeen Bradshaw, 90, of Columbia, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 8:00 P.M. at Summit Manor Health and Rehab, Columbia, KY.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 22, 2012 at 1pmCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Raymond Martin and Bro. Freeman Reece officiatingBurial in Union Cemetery, 174 Milltown Church Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Thursday, June 21, 2012, at the funeral home.



Casket bearers: Mark Bradshaw, Scott Akin, Jay Jones, Stacey Tucker, Todd Stephens and Ricky Burton.

Mary Christine Bradshaw, Adair Co., KY (1921-2012)

She was born Tuesday, November 5, 1921 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Lee and Zula Bertha Reece. She died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 90 years, 7 months, and 14 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Bradshaw in 1962; one son, Jimmy Bradshaw; one daughter, Montra Crabtree; seven brothers, Amos, Rollin, Curtis, Chester, Coy, Carl and Charlie Reece; four sisters, Polly England, Maggie Sneed, Dimple Lee and Ruby Burton; and one grandchild, Donna Bradshaw.

She was a member of Columbia Christian Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include:
  • One son and daughter in law: L.C. and Geneva Bradshaw of Columbia, KY

  • One brother and sister in law: Freeman and Inez Reece of Louisville, KY

  • One sister: Louvern Lee of Columbia, KY

  • Six grandchildren : Angela Stephens, Allison Jones, Lisa Burton, Shanna Tucker, Scott Akin and Mark Bradshaw

  • Six great grandchildren

  • Three step great grandchildren

  • One step great great grandchild
In lieu of flowers, the family request expressions of sympathy be in the form of donation of Gideon Bibles or to the American Cancer Society. These may be left at the funeral home.
