Joe Coe, Jr., 84, Bernard Lane, Jamestown, KY, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at his home.

Funeral services will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 201 N. Main Street, Jamestown, KY, at 11amCT, Tuesday, June 12, with Pastor Fred Caulkin officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Monday, June 11, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Knight Cemetery, Jamestown, KY.



Joe Coe, Jr., 84, Russell County, KY (1927-2012)

He was born July 31, 1927, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late John WIlliam Coe and the late Lela Knight Coe. He died Saturday, June 9, 2012, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 84 years, 10 months, and 9 days.

He was retired from the Corps of Engineers and was a farmer. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving as a Private.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Coe, Jamestown, KY, and the following:
  • Three sons: Boyd (Liz) Coe, Corbin, KY; Barry (Linda) Coe, Ooltewah, TN; and Vincent Coe of Jamestown, KY

  • Two daughters: Belinda (Rick) Antle, Russell Springs, KY; and Bridget (Danny Joe) Emerson, Russell Springs, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Five great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Chester, and Buford Coe; and two sisters, Edna Robbins and Hazel Smith.

The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 201 Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
