Helen Doris "Dottie" Yaden passed away Sunday May 27, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. She was 71.

Funeral arrangements are 2pmET/1pmCT, Friday June 1, 2012 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Ed Parton officiating. Burial will be at Tapscott Cemetery.Visitation is 6pm-9pmET/5pm-8pmCT, Thursday, May 31, 2012, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Paul Sandusky, J.P. Sandusky, Paula Brown, Lacy Brown, Randy Yaden and Jonathan Sandusky.

Born Friday, December 6, 1940 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Aline Traylor Smith. She died Sunday, May 27, 2012, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 71 years, 5 months, and 21 days.

Mrs. "Dottie" Yaden was the widow of Travis Yaden and attended Atwoods Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, waitress, and worked at the Dime Store.

Survivors include the following:
  • Three sisters: Margie Sandusky of Liberty, KY; Carla Carmicle of Bardstown, KY; and Dianne Lindsey of Louisville, KY

  • Eight nieces and nephews: Paul Sandusky, Paula Brown, Alina Sandusky, Donald Smith, Dawn Michelle Gillock, Alice Sandusky, Jeremy Davis and Danielle True

  • Five great nieces and great nephews: J.P. Sandusky, Jonathan Sandusky, Lacy Brown, Jase Sandusky and Daniel Ellis.

    In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Gary Smith, Terry Smith and Jerry Smith.
