Mr. J. H. "Foots" Crawley, age 70, of the Modoc Community of Cumberland County, Kentucky passed away on Monday May 28, 2012 at his home in Burkesville, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 12pm noon CT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Burial will follow in the Leona Smith-Ferguson Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 7pmCT, Wednesday, May 30, 2012 until service time on Friday.



Mr. J.H. "Foots" Crawley, Cumberland Co., KY (1942-2012)

He was born on Sunday January 4, 1942 in Glasgow, Barrem County, KY, the son of Jim Henry and Alma Lee Nation Crawley. He died Monday, May 28, 2012, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 70 years, 4 months, and 24 days.

He was a farmer and oil driller.

In addition to his parents. he was preceded in death by his nephew, Ronnie Thrasher; his niece, Dunfee Carol Harrington; his brothers-in-law, Robert Conley and James Capps; his son-in-law, Ricky Watson: his father-in-law, Rich Williams; and his mother-in-law, Adgie Coop Williams.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Carolyn Williams Crawley of Burkesville, KY

  • His children: Tammy Watson of Celina, TN; Jennifer Crawley of Louisville, KY; Emily Crawley of Burkesville, KY; and John Crawley of Burkesville, KY

  • His sisters and brother: Jamah (and Martin) Thrasher of Burkesville, KY; Festus Conley of Burkesville, KY; Stella (and Lloyd) Cross of Burkesville, KY; Truesdale (and Pat) Crawley of Burkesville, KY

  • His grandchildren: Karlie Watson, Kindre Crawley, Aubrey Elliot, Kailib Crawley, Baleigh Watson, and Charlotte Crawley

  • His special nieces and nephews: Ronda (and Delbert) Chandler, Sharon (and Jeff) Pickens, Dale Cross, Patrick (and Kristy) Crawley, Laura (and Terry) Riley

  • Plus a host of other nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends.
