Alma Shofner, Taylor Co., KY (1925-2012)

She was the matriarch of a large, respected South Central Kentucky family. She professed faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal Faith

Alma Shofner, 86, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 1:15pmET, Saturday, May 19, 2012 in Campbellsville.

Funeral services will be at 11amET/10amCT, Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY by Rev. David Boils and Bro. Jody Graham. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmET/4pmCT, Monday, May 21, 2012, at the funeral home.



Alma Shofner, Taylor Co., KY (1925-2012)

Alma Shofner was the daughter of the late Clarence W. Sidebottom and Ethel Shofner Sidebottom. She was born Thursday, October 8, 1925 in Taylor County, KY.. She died Saturday, May 19, 2012 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 86 years, 7 months, and 11 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal Faith.She united in marriage to Oscar W. Shofner December 24, 1940. He preceded her in death September 7, 1996.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and two daughters: Larry Shofner and wife, Glenna, Bobby Shofner and wife, Linda, Phyllis Sullivan and special friend, Ronnie Shuffett and Aletta Johns all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Brandi Graham and husband, Jody and Eric Johns of Campbellsville, KY; and Adam Johns of Lexington, KY

  • Two great-grandchildren: Dayne Graham and Sully Graham

  • One brother: Marshall Elwood Sidebottom of Russellville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Thomas J. Sidebottom.
