She was a native of Green County, KY and a member of a large, respected family with deep family ties in Taylor, Adair, and Green Counties. She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Church of the Nazarene.

Katherine Milby, 82, of Columbia, KY, died at 10:50amCT, Thursday, May 17, 2012, in Columbia. KY.

Funeral services at 3pmET/2pmCT, Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY by Bro. Darrell Landis. Burial in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation after 6pmET/5pmCT, Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Katherine Milby, Columbia, KY (1929-2012)

Katherine Milby of Columbia, KY, was the daughter of the late Ezra Arthur Milby and Verna Miller Milby. Shewas born in Green County, KY, August 6, 1929. She died Thursday, May 17, 2012, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 82 years, 9 months, and 11 days.

She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Church of the Nazarene.

She united in marriage to Avery Milby, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by the following:
  • A daughter and son-in-law: Wanda and Terry Kerns of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Sherry Powell of Campbellsville, KY; Cindy Coomer of Greensburg, KY; Bobby Powell of Mt. Washington, KY; and Timmy Kerns of Georgia

  • Four great-grandchildren: Terry Perkins, Stefany Cox, Stephen Coomer and Dallas Coomer

  • Two great-great-grandchildren: Hunter Akin and Isabella Powell

  • One sister: Carol Milby of Campbellsville, KY

  • Five special friends: Lou, Elaine, Jana, Mae and Anna

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mischelle Kerns; a great-granddaughter, Hailey Rainey; two sisters: Lucille Stotts and Juanita Sublett; and step-mother, Nancy Milby.
