Orbazine Barnett Spear Puryear Faulkner (1920-2012)

She was a member of a highly regarded Taylor County, KY family and of the Mannsville Christian Church

Orbazine Barnett Spear Puryear Faulkner of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James Samuel Barnett and Eliza Jane Williams Barnett was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, October 27, 1920. She died at 3:40 P. M., Sunday, May 6, 2012, in Greensburg. Age: 91

Funeral services are at 11amET/10amCT, Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Earl West. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, W. Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmET/4pm-7pmCT, Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: David Argo, Sammy Barnett, Bobby Cave, Cody Puryear, Glenwood Richerson, Steven Richerson, and David Wright.

Orbazine Barnett Spear Puryear Faulkner was the daughter of the late James Samuel Barnett and Eliza Jane Williams Barnett. She was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, October 27, 1920. She died Sunday, May 6, 2012, in Greensburg, KY, at the age of 91 years, 6 mionths and 10 days.

She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mannsville Christian Church.

She united in marriage to Miley B. Spear who preceded her in death January 28, 1956.

She united in marriage to Delmer F. Puryear who preceded her in death January 16, 2002.

She united in marriage to Richard Lee Faulkner December 25, 1971.

Besides her husband, Richard Lee Faulkner of Campbellsville, KY, she is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters and two sons: Linda Kay Richerson and husband, Glenwood of Campbellsville, Ky; Brenda Argo and husband, David of Norman, Oklahoma; Lonnie Spear and wife, Cathy of Elizabethtown, KY; and Otis Puryear and wife, Wendy of Greensburg, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Steven Richerson, Jay Alan Ferguson and wife, Aubrey; Andy Nash Ferguson and wife, Kelly; Jennifer Lynn Jenkins II and husband, Ritchie,; Cody Wesley Puryear, and Michael Ray Spear and wife, Bonnie

  • Three step-grandchildren: Kase Van Dyke and husband, Tony, Daniel Judd and Barrett Argo and wife, Terra

  • Four great-grandchildren: Jada Rose Powell Perkins, Matthew Jenkins, Michael Jenkins and Alexandria Jenkins

  • Two sisters: Christine Pedigo of Campbellsville, KY; and Pauline Wright of Fairdale, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by two sons: Ronnie Spear July 5, 1947 and Vestal Spear June 13, 1967; six brothers and two sisters: Edward "Bear" Barnett, Henry Barnett, Ernest Barnett, Earl Barnett, Baskel Barnett, Dennis Barnett, Minnie Ethel Rainwater, and Pina Lee Carroll

The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to the diabetes association or Gideon Bibles and may be made at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
