Ruth M. Dunkin, Casey Co., KY (1947-2012)

She was a member of a large, respected Casey County, KY, family. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Carter Ridge Baptist Church. She was involved in American Diabetes Association and enjoyed crocheting and crafts.

Ruth M. Dunkin passed away Friday May 4, 2012 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY . She was 64.

Funeral services are at 2pmET/1pmCT, Tuesday May 8, 2012 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Richard Owens and Bro. Josh Owens officiating. Burial is at Spaw Cemetery. Visitation is 6pm-9pmET/5pm-8pmCT, Monday, May 7, 2012, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers are Matthew and Wesley Howard, Andy and Wally Maybrier, Terry Gadberry and Steven Wall.

Honorary pallbearers are Deanna Howard, Dixie McAninch and Faye Neal.

Born Thursday, July 24, 1947 in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Gerkey Maybrier. She died Friday May 4, 2012 Somerset, Pulaski County, KY at the age of 64 year, 8 months, and 11 days.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Carter Ridge Baptist Church. She was involved in American Diabetes Association and enjoyed crocheting and crafts.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Billy Ray Dunkin of Liberty, KY, and the following:
  • Son: Johnnie R. (Donna) Howard of Liberty, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Matthew, Wesley, Deanna and Joisha

  • Great-grandchild: Cheyenne

  • Brother: Tommy (Portia) Maybrier of Somerset. KY

  • In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Leanna Marie Howard.
