Brenda Faye (Burton) Smith, 64, of Nashville, IN passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012, in Indiana.

The funeral services will be held Monday, May 7, 2012 at 11amET/10amCT, at the Country Gospel Music Church, 5181 State Road 46 East, Nashville IN.Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery, located between S. Eisenhower DR and US 31, Edinburgh, IN. The family will receive visitors at the church 4pm-8pmET/3pm-7pmCT, Sunday, May 6, 2012.

Brenda Faye (Burton) Smith was born Friday, April 30, 1948 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of Dollie Francis (Burton) Burton and the late Edgar Ray Burton and of Adair County, KY. She died May 1, 2012, in Indiana at the age of 64 years, 1 day,

Brenda was a housewife & a great cook. She enjoyed working at the flea market. Brenda was a member of Country Gospel Music Church.

Survivors are her husband, Donald Smith, Nashville, IN, and the following:
  • Her mother: Dollie Burton of Columbia, KY

  • Son: Mark Stargell, Nashville, IN

  • Step daughters: Denise Hancock, Indianapolis, IN; Donna Maples, Brownsburg, IN

  • Grandchildren: Melinda Stargell, Franklin, IN; Joshua Stargell, Nineveh, IN; Matthew Stargell, Nashville, IN; Heather & Sarah Maples, Brownsburg, IN; and Zachary and Joshua Hancock, Indianapolis, IN

  • One great grandchild: Jaidlynn Hancock

  • Brothers: Donnie, Roger, and Eddie Burton of Columbia, KY.
She was preceded in death by her father.

Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 Indiana 135 Nashville, IN 47448, was entrusted with the arrangements.
