She was a member a large, respected Metcalfe County family. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith

Inez Hamilton Estes age 98 of Edmonton died Monday, April 30, 2012 at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton, KY.

Funeral services will be held 3pmCT, Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Edmonton Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Wednesday, May 2, 2012, and after 9amCT, Thursday at the funeral home.



She was the daughter of the late Noah and Emma Demumbrum Hamilton.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joe B. Estes and her three children. Floyd D. Estes, Norma "Bobbie" Harris and Jimmy Estes.

She is survived by the following:
  • A daughter in law Barbara Estes and a son in law Truman Harris both of Edmonton, KY

  • Grandchildren: Greg Estes of Greensburg, KY; Gina Godby of California, Joey Estes, Dennita Sierra, Jeffrey Estes, Dawn Nix, Candy Estes and Kathy Estes all of Illinois and Carolyn Huffman of Center, KY

  • Several great and great great grandchildren

  • Three nieces: Margaret Piper of Georgia, and Anna Restiva of Wisconsin and Delphia Shirley of Edmonton, KY
Besides her parents and children she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters, Joe Henry Hamilton, Lester Hamilton, Ella Shirley, Irene Royse and Flossie Piper, and a grandson Stephen Harris and a nephew Harold Hamilton.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
