Bernice Estes Rigney, 83, passed away on Wednesday April 25, 2012 at her residence in Casey Co., KY.

Visitation will be6pm-8pmET/5pm-7pmCT, on Friday evening April 27, 2012 at the Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY. Funeral services officiated by Reverend Sherman Floyd will begin at 2pmET/1pmCT, Saturday April 28, 2012 at the Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Watson Chapel Cemetery.



Beriece Estes Rigney, Casey County, KY (1928-2012)

She was born on Tuesday, July 17, 1928 in Casey County, KY. Bernice was the daughter of the late Hobart and Laura Hatter Estes, She died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, in Casey County, KY, at the age of 83 years, 9 months, and 8 days.

She was a Retired school teacher, having taught for forty years and a member of Watson Chapel Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Jewell Floyd.

Survivors include; her spouse Clarence Rigney, and the following:
  • One daughter; Chandra and (Mike) Leaverton of Richmond, KY

  • One son; James Monroe and ( Jewell )Rigney of Richmond, KY
  • Four grandchildren

  • Eight great grandchildren

  • And two sisters: Betty Jean Witt of Stanford, KY; and Gloria Bell Russell of Lexington, KY
