Gardeners and Farmers will hold organizational meeting in Liberty, KY

By Catherine Pond

LIBERTY, KY - A group is forming for area gardeners and farmers, at an initial planning meeting on Thursday, May 3, at 6pmET/5pmCT, the Casey County Extension Office, 1517 S. Wallace Wilkinson Boulevard, Liberty, KY.

The goal is to get a working group together to plan future events, programs, workshops and collaborative promotional and other activities for gardeners and farmers of all levels, interests and pursuits.

We welcome all input, backgrounds, gardening styles and practices, hobbyists or professionals. All you need is an interest in gardening, farming or foraging and agriculture in the region and you don't need to live in Casey County: we welcome everyone interested from surrounding counties or elsewhere.

This group is not affiliated with any one organization or group and is very much in the formation stage. Please share with all of your farming and gardener friends!

If you plan to attend this first meeting, or if you are interested in being on a future mailing list for activities and events, please call 606-787-7384, email debbie.shepherd@uky.edu or info@CatherinePond.com. - Catherine Pond
