Loeta Redmon, age 70, of Columbia, KY passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012 at 4:28amCT, in the Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY withBro. David Coffey and Bro. Ralph Foster officiating. Interment will be in the Bearwallow Cemetery, 6080 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. The family will receive friends after 2:30pmCT, on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.



Loeta Redmon, Adair County, KY (1941-2012)

Loeta Redmon was born July 12, 1941 in the Vester Community of Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Tim and Mary Jane Burton Burton. She died Sunday, April 8, 2012 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY at the age of 70 years, 8 months, and 27 days.

She is survived by:
  • Two daughters: Melinda Foster and husband Danny of Columbia, KY; Cathy Grant and husband Doug of Columbia, KY

  • Three sons: Clifford Jasper and wife Betty Sue of Columbia, KY; Kenny Redmon and wife Donna of Columbia, KY; and Mark Redmon and wife Kim of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: Charles Burton and wife Peggy of Columbia, KY; Randall Burton and wife Judy of Columbia, KY

  • Three sisters: Bernice Cowan and husband Calvin of Columbia, KY; Phyllis Shirley and husband Donnie of Columbia, KY; and Joyce Rodgers of Taylorsville, IN

  • Eleven grandchildren: Andrea Thomas, Josh Grant, Jordon Grant, Ben Jasper, Heather Loy, Whitney Redmon, Kelsie Redmon, Natalie Redmon, Blake Redmon, Eli Redmon, Aubry Redmon

  • Five step grandchildren: Tralisa Foster, Mary Kimbler, Scott Foster, David Foster, Shelby Akin.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Betty Jean Burton, Lucille Burton, Madelene Grider.

Mrs. Redmon was a former cook with the Adair County School System and a homemaker.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, in charge of arrangements.
