Big Al: New Orleans on Tv; Chicago vs Nashville rinkside A Nashville evening was great if not perfect. The Cats did beat pesky Cards on Tv. But the Blackhawks beat our Predators one lousy goal - breaking a 4-4 tie. But that was made up for when Wichita had his picture taken with Preds backup goalie Anders Lindback and I, Big Al, have a keepsake photo with the legendary Blues Brothers, Elwood and Joliet Jake. Go Cats!!! -BIG AL Click on headline for column with photo(s) By Big Al Owens, The Big Rig Trucker Wichita and I headed south to Nashville Saturday to watch the Nashville Predators face off with the Chicago Blackhawks in a tight end of the season playoff push. As the night started, Nashville was 3 points in front of the Blackhawks with 4 games left to play, and the Detroit Redwings were 2 points ahead of the Blackhawks. The Blackhawks ended up winning 5-4 but not without a fight as the Preds tied the game in the 3rd period at 4 before Chicago could finally score again on Predators goalie Pekka Rinne. The Nashville/Chicago rivalry has grown into quite a spectacle in recent years as Chicago fans travel to Tennessee in droves. Often times there are as many Chicago fans in the seats as there are Preds fans. After the game, Wichita and I walked down the street to the Hard Rock Cafe to get some Hard Rock nachos and 2 Coca-Colas, before heading home for the night. As we arrived at the Hard Rock we ran into Preds backup goalie Anders Lindback, who hails from Sweden and he took some time to chat with Wichita. Anders obliged us further by taking a picture with Wichita and signing his ticket stub. It was a great evening for both of us, and we were already thrilled with the exciting news that the Kentucky Wildcats had defeated the Louisville Cardinals to advance This story was posted on 2012-04-01 17:22:30
