Mr. Charles Ray Elder, Caneyville, KY, (1939-2012) Two daughters and families are residents of Greensburg, KY. He was a retired farmer. Charles also worked for several years at Crumes Monument in Caneyville. He served in the United States Army for 30 Years. Charles was a deacon for over 22 years at the Caneyville Baptist Church and was a proud member of the Ohio County Honor Guard. Mr. Charles Ray Elder, age 72 of Caneyville passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY. Funeral services for Mr. Charles Ray Elder will be 2pmCT Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Caneyville Baptist Church, 525 E Maple Street, Caneyville, KY. Burial will follow in the Layman Cemetery in Caneyville. Visitation was from 3 until 9 Friday and the Dermitt Joyce Funeal Home in Caneyville and after 10amCT Saturday at the Caneyville Baptist Church until time of the funeral service. Mr. Charles Ray Elder, Caneyville, KY, (1939-2012) He was born on August 11, 1939 in Caneyville, Grayson County, KY, the son of Lloyd and Winona Elder. He died Thursday, March 29, 2012, in Leitchfield, Grayson County, KY, a the age of 72 years, 7 months, and 18 days. He was a retired farmer. Charles also worked for several years at Crumes Monument in Caneyville. He served in the United States Army for 30 Years. Charles was a deacon for over 22 years at the Caneyville Baptist Church and was a proud member of the Ohio County Honor Guard.
