Mrs. Rebecca Jo "Becky" Ponder, 55 of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at her home in Greensburg.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1pmCT,. Sunday, April 1, 2012, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Marcum Family Cemetery. Bro. Greg Whitlow will be officiating. Visitation will be 3pm-8pmCT, Saturday, March 31, 2012, at the funeral home and after 7amCT, Sunday until service time.

Mrs. Rebecca Jo "Becky" Ponder was the daughter of the late Theodore and Kathleen Fredrick Patterson. She was born on Thursday, June 21, 1956 in Casey County, Kentucky and departed this life on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 Greensburg, Green County, KY. She was 55 years, 9 months and 6 days of age.

She had worked for Fruit of the Loom, Inc.

She united in marriage to Michael Lynn Ponder on February 14, 1975, who preceded her in death on February 14, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her special companion Darrell Flynn on June 22, 2010, and a son: Carl Wayne Judd on June 11, 1974.

She is survived by:
  • Four children: Tammy Ponder, April Ponder, Heather Ervin, all of Green County, and Laura Craynon of Somerset, KY

  • Ten grandchildren: Breanna Ratcliff of Campbellsville, KY; Adreanna McAllister, Lorin McAllister, Olivia Creason, Bailey Rayne Mosby, Becca Lynn Stringer, Lexi Ervin, and Michael Lane Ervin all of Greensburg, KY; and Britanie-Anne Craynon and Brady Craynon both of Somerset, KY

  • Four brothers: David Patterson of Summersville, KY; Mark Patterson of Campbellsville, KY: and Matthew Patterson and James Patterson, both of Greensburg, KY
