Brenda Richard, age 65 years of Columbia, KY passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY, after several weeks illness.

Funeral services are Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Burial will be in the Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. The family request visiting after 3:30pmCT, on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.



Brenda Richard, Adair County, KY (1946-2012)

She was born at Vester, Adair County, KY on July 7, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Titus and Queenie (Burton) Burton. She died Sunday, March 25, 2012, in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, KY, at the age of 65 years, 8 months, and 18 days.

She attended the Columbia First Church of the Nazarene and was a caregiver andretired from Fruit of the Loom.

She is survived by:
  • One son: Timothy Richard of Columbia, KY

  • Three sisters: Earnestine Creamer of Hopkinsville, KY; Lois Harmon of Columbia, KY; and Carolyn Burton of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Amanda Weiand, David Weiand, Dakota Hunter Richard, Callie Jo Richard

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends
She was preceded in death by siblings Titus Burton Jr., Leon Burton, Allene Burton,and Doris Johnson.
