Mr. Michael David Newman, 63, of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Friday, March 23, 2012 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY.

A graveside service for Mr. Michael David Newman will be conducted at 10amCT, Monday, March 26, 2012 at the Macedonia Cemetery in Green County, KY. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home are in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is requested 4pm-8pmCT, Sunday, March 25, 2012, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY.



Mr. Michael David Newman, Green Co., KY (1948-2012)

Mr. Michael David Newman was the son of the late Leonard Newman and Mary Ellen Miller Newman. He was born on Wednesday, May 12, 1948 in Franklin, Johnson County, IN and departed this life on Friday, March 23, 2012 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY. He was 63 years, 10 months and 11 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Greensburg Baptist Church. He was retired having worked 27 years as a Stone Container.

He united in marriage to Barbara Gayle Hagan on September 7, 1968 who survives.Other survivors include:
  • His step mother: Barbara Ann Newman of Indiana

  • One son and daughter-in-law: Shawn and Misty Newman of Greensburg, KY

  • Two brothers: William Newman and Richard Newman of Indiana

  • Four sisters: Wanda Newman, Debra Newman, Sharon Newman and Linda Newman all of Indiana

  • Two granddaughters: Natashia Gaskin of Columbia, KY; and Breanna Newman of Greensburg, KY

  • One great-granddaughter; Tatum Bolden of Columbia, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, David Newman and Daniel Newman; two brothers: Johnny Newman and Bobby Newman.
