She was the matriarch of a large, respected Green County, KY, family. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was past member of the Summersville Homemakers, and worked for the Green County School System as a Lunch Room Supervisor at the Summersville Elementary, former Supervisor for American Needlecraft, Child Care Giver for the former Bethlehem Baptist Church Daycare, and a homemaker

Mrs. Jane Davis Foster of Summersville, KY, departed this life on Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Grandview Nursing and Rehab Facility in Campbellsville. KY..

The funeral services for Mrs. Jane Davis Foster will be conducted at 1pmCT, Monday, February 20, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Bennett Cemetery. Bro. Kevin Brantley will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 3pm-8pmCT, Sunday. Februrary 19, 2012, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Monday until time of the funeral service.



Active pallbearers: Dennis Hall, Jr., Billy Wayne Troutman, Lane Foster, Tracy Moss, Jon Davis, Ian Hoskins, and Tyler Moss.

Honorary pallbearers: Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church EldersEddie Bailey, Dave Maddox, Arthur Creason, Will Hodges, and Mike Durrett.

Jane Davis Foster, Green County, KY (1923-2012)

Mrs. Jane Davis Foster was the daughter of the late David J. Davis and Ida Milby Davis. She was born on Tuesday, June 16, 1923 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Friday, February 17, 2012 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY. She was 88 years, 8 months and 1 day of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was past member of the Summersville Homemakers, and worked for the Green County School System as a Lunch Room Supervisor at the Summersville Elementary, former Supervisor for American Needlecraft, Child Care Giver for the former Bethlehem Baptist Church Daycare, and a homemaker.

She united in marriage to Henry Leslie Foster on October 31, 1941 who preceded her in death on April 13, 1973. She was also preceded in death by a sister: Dennis Calhoon.

Survivors include the following:
  • Three sons and a daughter-in-law: H.L. and Paula Foster of Campbellsville, KY; Roger Foster of Summersville, KY; and Gerald Foster of the Gabe Community of Green County, KY and his fiancee' Gail Munday

  • Three grandchildren: Katie Moss and her husband Tracy of Campbellsville, KY; Lane Foster of Georgia and his fiancee' Erin Barding; and Lacey Hoskins and her husband Ian of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three great-grandchildren: Tyler Moss, Lauren Moss, and Essie Hoskins all of Campbellsville, KY

  • A brother and sister-in-law: D.J. and Sue Davis of Greensburg, KY

  • Two sisters: Thracy Hall and Georgie Loyall both of Indiana

  • And a host of other relatives and friends

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Bennett Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
