Thieves steal air conditioning units from The Flatwoods SBC

Anyone with information asked to contact the Adair County Sheriff's Department. 'I'm a bit upset currently and am trying to be forgiving toward the persons involved,' Mike Bennett writes, and adds, 'I would truly hate to be in their shoes on Judgment Day,'

By Mike Bennett

On Saturday, February 4, 2012, at around 12:30pmCT, I stopped by our church, The Flatwoods Separate Baptist, 5680 Burkesville Road, Columbia, KY and discovered that someone had stolen our two central air units.

This happened some time Friday night, February 3, or early Saturday morning, February 4, 2012.

We would like to ask if anyone saw any vehicle near or behind the church during this timeframe please call the Adair Co. Sheriff's Office.

I know that ours is not the first church this has happened to so please send out a notice to all churches to keep an eye out. People who damage or steal from a church will surely do so to anyone.

I'm a bit upset currently and am trying to be forgiving toward the persons involved. I would truly hate to be in their shoes on Judgement Day.

Thanks, - Mike Bennett
