He was a member of a highly regarded Gradyville, KY area family. He was the son of thelate Ernest & Mildred S. Moore Sneed. His wife, Margie Richard Sneed, survives. He served his country in the United States Army and was a heavy equipment operator.

Billy C. Sneed age 71 years of Jones Chapel Road, Columbia, KY passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 5:10amCT at Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia, KY.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 1pmCT, at Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY, with burial to follow. Bro. Bobby Withers will be the officiating clergy. Visitation after 9:00 amCT, Wednesday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY



Pallbearers: David Sneed, Mike Parnell, Darry Bragg, Jeremy Sneed, Josh Wilson and Eddie Jones.

Honorary Pallbearers: Lonnie Grant, Ron Hale, Ken Hatcher, Paul Hayes, Dale Hayes and Robbie Gist.

He was born on September 23, 1940 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Ernest and Mildred S. Moore Sneed He died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 5:10amCT, in Columbia, KY, at the age of 71 years, 4 months, and 8 days.He is survived by his wife Margie Richard Sneed of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Tony Sneed of Columbia, KY

  • One Granddaughter: Natalie Sneed of Columbia, KY

  • Three brothers: Donnie Sneed and wife Cathy of Columbia, KY; Ronnie Sneed and wife Phyllis of Columbia, KY; Darrell Sneed of Columbia, KY

  • Three sisters: Diane Young and husband Randy; Peggy Ray and husband Ricky of Campbellsville, KY; Geneva Page of Columbia, KY

  • Special friend: Cindy Brumitt

  • Several nieces, nephews, host of other relatives and friends
He had served his country in United States Army and was a heavy equipment operator.

Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society and may be made at the funeral homeStotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, in charge of funeral arrangements.
