13th KY Cavalry fund grows with $100 pledge from Patton Group

Donation is in honor descendants of 13th KY Cavalry Chaplain R.F. Mills. All of the members of Patton Reunion Group are his descendants. Fund will go toward Kentucky Historical Society marker, the start of a possible Kentucky 13th Cavalry Park in Columbia, KY, to commemorate unit participating in pivotal battle of Civil War. Marker will build on foundation established by Wayside Markers along the John Hunt Morgan Trail, initiated by Vonnie Koblenschag and Morgan Is Coming author Betty Jane Gorin.

Paul Patton writes
You can count on me for a $100 donation to the 13th. Ky Cavalry Historical Marker and as president of the Patton Reunion Group I will also commit that organization to a $100 contribution as all the Pattons are descendants of Chaplain R. F. Mills of this cavalry as well as our common ancestor John H. Patton. - Paul Patton
