Mattie Cash, Taylor Co., KY (1919-2011)

She was the matriarch of a large, respected Taylor Co., KY family. She leaves 36 direct living descendants. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Zion Separate Baptist Church.

Mattie Cash, 92 of Campbellsville, KY, died at 7:40pmET, Monday, January 16, 2012 in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service is at 11amET/10amCT. Friday, January 20, 2012 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Ronda Arnett. Burial will be in the Zion Separate Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is after 5pmET/4pmCT, Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Pallbearers: Adam Cash, Josh Cash, Matthew Cash, Michael Cash, Steven Cash, and Andrew Hess.


Mattie Cash, Taylor Co., KY (1919-2011)

Mattie Cash was the daughter of the late Alfred Thomas Underwood and Gertrude Bloyd Underwood. She was born Friday, March 7, 1919, in Larue County, KY. She died Monday, January 16, 2012 in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 92 years, 10 months, and 9 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Zion Separate Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Raymond H. Cash February 13, 1938. He preceded her in death April 23, 1992.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three sons and two daughters: Gary Cash and wife, Lisa of Campbellsville, KY; Ransie Cash and wife, Karen of Georgetown, KY; Wendell Cash of Louisville, KY; Monzelle Parrish and husband, Douglas of St. Louis, Missouri; and Sharon Hess of Burke, Virginia

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Nineteen great-grandchildren

  • And many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Monroe Harold Cash in infancy; a daughter-in-law, Verna Cash on March 29, 2009; four brothers and five sisters, Russell B. Underwood, Everett Underwood, Robert Underwood, Grant Underwood, Aileen Beams, Estelle DeSpain Pepper, Verna Fraze, Maud DeSpain and Gladys Gaddie.
