Last Call - Beginner gardener program starts next week Click on headline for complete story with schedule of classes and photo(s) By Nick Roy, Extension Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources The Adair County Cooperative Extension Service will be offering an educational program beginning on January 24, 2012, for those who are new to gardening or who are looking to expand their knowledge of gardening. This program will emphasize the basic principles of gardening including site selection, soil preparation, pest management, when & what to plant, harvesting, and food preservation. A total of 5 sessions will be held, with each session to be held at 6pmCT, at the Adair County Extension Office, 409 Fairground Street, Columbia KY . Each session will last approximately 2 hours. Classes will be taught by Extension Agents and Master Gardener volunteers.
