He was a native of Boyle County, KY, and a member of a large, respected Adair County family

Travis Gordon "Gordy" Fair, age 48 years of Columbia, KY died suddenly, Friday, January 13, 2012 at 3:52pmCT, from injuries received in an automobile accident on KY 80 near the Adair-Russell County line.

Funeral services will Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Interment will be in the Brush Creek Cemetery in Casey County, KY. The family requests visitation after 3pmCT, on Monday, January 16, 2012, at the funeral home.

He was born January 11, 1964 in Danville, Boyle County, KY. He was the son of the late Ray Fair and Mary Jane Johns Brogon of Oxnard, California and also the son of Annette Burton of Columbia, KY who survive. He died January 13, 2012, in Adair County, KY, at the age of 48 years, 2 days.

He is survived by the following:
  • One daughter survives: Kasey Marie Fair of Columbia, KY

  • Son: Christopher Brian Fair of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: John Fair of Washington, and Otha Lehman Fair of California

  • Two sisters: Lisa Cowan of Columbia, KY and and Cathy Fair of California

  • Two step brothers: Randy J. Corbin and Kevin E. Corbin, both of Columbia, KY

  • One step sister: Debra Corbin of Columbia, KY

  • One special brother in law: Tim Cowan and several nieces nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives
