She was the matriarch of a large, respected famiy with strong ties in Taylor, Metcalfe, Adair Counties, KY, and elsewhere. She leaves 23 direct living descendants. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Paletine Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY

Helen Houk Wall, 87, of Edmonton, formerly of Campbellsville, KY, died at 5:50pmET, Thursday, January 12, 2012 in Columbia, Kentucky. Age: 87

The funeral service will be at 2pmET/1pmCT, Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville by Rev. A. Landon Hadley. Burial will be in the Brookside Cemetery, West Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmET/4pm-7pmCT, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Terry Judd, Thomas Wayne Judd, Timothy Judd, Gary Rayner, and J.P Rayner.

Helen Houk Wall was the daughter of the late Willie D. Rose and the late Mayme Colvin Rose. She was born Sunday, November 2, 1924, in Taylor County, KY. She died Thursday, January 12, 2012 in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 87 years, 2 months, and 10 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY.

She united in marriage to L.W. "Steve" Rayner, Dwight Houk, and Allen Wall, all of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and three daughters: Linda A. Brockman and Lee Rayner and wife, Brenda of Campbellsville, KY; Larry Rayner and wife, Linda of Oakland, KY; Debbie Manning of Edmonton, KY; and Carol Harris and husband, Mark of Ketchikan, Alaska

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Nine great grandchildren

  • One brother: Charles Rose and wife, Shirley of Lancaster, KY

  • And many other relatives and friends
The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
