Bishop L. King, Jr., 49, of Columbia, KY, died Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY, after an illness.

A memorial service will be held at 1pmCT, Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 3trees Church, 3515 W. Hwy 80, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Jason Hood officiating. At his request, cremation has taken place.

He was born Friday, November 26, 1962, in Houston, TX. He was the son of Bishop L. King, Sr. of Oklahoma and Hazel Oakley (Larry) Henderson of Oklahoma. He died Thursday, December 22, 2011 in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 49 years, 26 days.

He was a truck driver and attended 3trees Church.

Survivors include the following:
  • His father: Bishop L. King, Sr., of Oklahoma

  • His mother: Hazel Oakley (Larry) Henderson of Oklahoma

  • His fiance: Renee Stinson and her children, Tasha and Bethoni Stinson of Columbia, KY

  • One son: Bishop L. King, III, "Trey" of Oklahoma

  • One daughter: Brittany King of Oklahoma

  • One brother and two sisters : John King, Sherry Robertson and Carla Carter all of Oklahoma

  • His grandmother: Sadie Oakley of Oklahoma

  • His best friend: Jeff Forshee of Oklahoma
