He was a highly thought of member of the Columbia, KY community who had acquired a wide circle of friends with his warm smile, sincerity, and Christian example. He was a member of the Columbia-Union Presbyterian Church, a retired employee of the Department of Transportation, and a barber. His funeral and interment will be in his native Taylor County, KY

Charles Henry White, 79, of Columbia, KY, died at 10:55pmCT, Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in Columbia, KY.

The funeral service will be at 1pmET/12pm noon CT, Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Pastor Karen Russell. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT/4pm-7pmCT, Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Entombment will be at Brookside Mausoleum, West Main Street, Campbellsville, KY.



Pallbearers: Bobby Clark, Billy Joe Fudge, Paul Gaines, Joe Hare, Ray Netherland, and Cleve Rice.

Honorary pallbearers: Don Grant, Oral Hancock, Michael Lemmon, J.D. Montgomery, Ancil Reynolds, and Buddy Wall.

Charles Henry White, Columbia, KY, Taylor Co. native (1932 - 2011)

Charles Henry White was the son of the late Millard "Runt" White and Mary Sublett White, was born November 22, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 10:55pmCT, Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 79 years, 28 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Columbia-Union Presbyterian Church.

He was a retired employee of the Department of Transportation and also a barber.

He united in marriage to June Baker Bailey March 29, 1991.

Besides his wife, June White, of Columbia, he is survived by the following:
  • One son and two daughters: Danny White of Friendswood, Texas; Bonnie Netherland and husband, Ray and Linda Clark and husband, Bobby of Bowling Green, KY

  • One step-son: Phillip Anthony Bailey and wife, Robin of Land-O-Lakes, Florida

  • Four grandchildren: Jennifer Hronek and husband, Mike of Newport, Kentucky; Elizabeth Carter of Eureka, California, Danielle White and Adriana Beasley of Friendswood, Texas

  • One step-grandson: Stephen Dwayne Bailey and wife, Tiffany of Port Richie, Florida

  • Two great-grandchildren: Milena Hronek and Noah Hronek

  • Two step-great-grandchildren: Jacob Bailey and Dylan Bailey

  • Mother of his children: Jane Gaines Fisher of Campbellsville;, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • Many other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Jonathan Clark.
