Mary Twyman Patterson Simpson, age 79, of Greensburg, passed away Sunday morning, December 18, 2011, at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, Greensburg, KY.

Funeral services for Mary Twyman Patterson Simpson will be conducted 1pmCT, Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W. Court Street, Greensburg, KY. Burial will follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery in the Exie Community of Green County. Friends of Mrs. Mary Twyman Patterson Simpson may call after 5pmCT, Tuesday December 20, and after 7amCT, Wednesday morning at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.



Pallbearers: Tony Estes, Roger Morgan, Harry Rhinehart, David Lee Simpson, Charles Compton, Eugene Robertson, Kyle Boston, and Jonathan Clark.

Mary Twyman Simpson was born Friday, July 8, 1932 in Green County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Guary and Alice Pruitt Patterson. She departed this life Sunday, December 18, 2011 in Greensburg, Green County, KY, having attained the age of seventy-nine years, five months and ten days.

Mrs. Simpson had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother: Mr. Holland Patterson, and one great grandchild.She is survived by the following:
  • Three sons and two daughters-in-law: Cleston Simpson of Greensburg, KY; Elmore and Kaye Simpson of Center, KY; and Michael and Melissa Simpson of Sulphur Well, KY

  • Four daughters and three sons-in-law: Dean Owens of Greensburg, KY; Mary Ann and Junior Rhinehart of Sulphur Well, KY; Merlene and Perry Turner of Attica, IN and Linda and Eugene Robertson of Knob Lick, KY

  • One brother: Amol Patterson of Greensburg, KY

  • Twenty three grandchildren

  • Twenty-two great grandchildren

  • One great great grandchild

  • One niece

  • Two nephews

  • A special friend: Rachel Kinslow
