Clifton Rodgers, 83, formerly of Milltown, KY (d. Dec. 16, 2011)

He was a Baptist minister for over 40 years. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and was a retired Welder for the Earls Welding Service.

Clifton O. Rodgers age 83 years of Fairdale, KY formerly of Milltown, KY passed away Friday December 16, 2011 at his home.

The funeral service will be Monday, December 19, 2011 at 11amET/10amCT, at Okalona Baptist Church, 9301 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY. Visitation will be from 2pm-8pmET/1pm-7pmCT, on Sunday at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street, Shepherdsville, KY and after 9amET/8amCT, on Monday at the church until time for services. Committal services at 12:30pmCT on Monday, December 19, 2011, at Milltown Cemetery No. 2, 3275 Milltown Church Road, Columbia, KY, followed by burial there.



He was a Baptist minister for over 40 years and a member of the New Hope General Baptist Church and was a retired welder for Earls Welding Service.

He is survived by his wife, Robbie Highbaugh-Rodgers of Fairdale, KY, and the following
  • His children: Peggy Warren and husband Don; Jan Wilson and husband Jimmy; Roy Rodgers and wife Kay; Jimmy Rodgers; Jennie Lakes and husband Terry; Ginger Lakes and husband Rick

  • One sister: Louvenia Bryant of Milltown, KY

  • Twenty grandchildren

  • Four step grandchildren

  • Thirty-three great grandchildren

  • Four great great grandchildren

  • And numerous step grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren
