Mary Mitchell Flanagan, 89, N. Main Street, Jamestown, KY, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at Fair Oaks Nursing Home, Jamestown KY, at 8:38amCT, Wednesday December 14, 2011.The funeral will be at 10amCT, Saturday, December 17, 2011, at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main Street, Jamestown, KY, with Dan Flanagan and Matt Flanagan officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 16, 2011, after 5pmCT, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jamestown Cemetery, N. Main Street, Jamestown, KY.



Mary Mitchell Flanagan, Russell County, KY (1922-2011)

She was born January 22, 1922, in Rome, Floyd County, GA. She was the daughter of the late John William Mitchell and the late Arizona (Harris) Mitchell Harris. She died Wednesday, December 14, 2011, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 89 years, 10 months, and 23 days.

She was an assistant librarian.

Survivors include her husband, Attis Flanagan, Jamestown, KY and the following:
  • Her sons: Dan (Ginny) Flanagan, Campbellsville, KY and Joe (Evelana) Flanagan, Jamestown, KY

  • Her daughter: Linda Gail (Gary) Cox, Lawrenceburg, KY

  • Her daughter in law: Vivian Flanagan, Jamestown, KY

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Eleven great grandchildren
She is preceded in death by one son, Rudy Flanagan and eight brothers.

The H.E. Flanagan Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
