Imogene Burton, Adair County, KY (1944-2011)

She was a member of a large respected Adair County, KY family. She had retired from the Oshkosh B'Gosh plant in Columbia, KY, after devoted service spanning over 26 years.

Imogene Burton age 66 years of the Fairplay Community Columbia, KY passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 8:20pmCT,. at her home after an illness

Services and burial were held Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 2pmCT at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.



Imogene Burton, Adair County, KY (1944-2011)

She was the daughter of the late Alvin Pendleton. She was born Sunday, November 5, 1944. She died Thursday, November 3, 2011, in the Fairplay Community of Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 66 years, 11 months, and 29 days.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Jimmy B. Burton and wife Julie of Columbia, KY

  • Two daughters: Donna Bryant and husband Dickie of Columbia, KY; and Denesa Veatch and husband Bobby of Campbellsville, KY
  • A special grandson: Brandon Bryant

  • Grandchildren: Blake Veatch, Alesisha Bryant and Whitney Veatch

  • Two great grandchildren: Riley Bryant and Camey Bernard

  • Brother-in-law: Clayton Burton of Edinburgh, IN

  • Two sisters in law: Barbara Pendleton and Clarice Pendleton of Indiana

  • A host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Harlin Burton in 1987; three brothers, Lowern Pendleton, Gilbert Pendleton and Norman Pendleton; one half brother, Hubert Pendleton; three sisters, Kathleen Burton, Stella Streeval and Louise Price

She was retired from OshKosh B'Gosh Factory with over 26 years service.Expression of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Mt. Carmel Cemetery or Community Medical services.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, in charge of arrangements.
