Mr. Joseph Adrian Hobbs II of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Joseph Adrian Hobbs and Rose Burnett Hobbs, was born on January 24, 1942 and departed this life on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at his home in Greensburg. He was 69 years, nine months and eight days of age.

The funeral services for Mr. Joseph Adrian Hobbs II will be conducted at 1pmCT, Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. Father Paul Eve will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 4pm-8pmCT, Thursday, November 3, 2011, and after 7amCT. Friday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Jerry Long, Christopher Anderson, Zack Kessler, Gary Isaacs, Jimmy Darren Blankenship, and Larry Rooks.

Honorary Pallbearers: Grandchildren.

Mr. Joseph Adrian Hobbs II of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Joseph Adrian Hobbs and Rose Burnett Hobbs. he was born on Saturday, January 24, 1942 and departed this life on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at his home in Greensburg, Green County, KY. He was 69 years, 9 months and 8 days of age.

He was of the Catholic faith. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army for six years. He trained in aviation as a sharp shooter, tracking and radar operations. He was employed for 38 years at Crumax in Elizabethtown and was employed for ten and one-half years at Federal Mogul in Glasgow.

He united in marriage to Carol Rock on May 11, 1991 who survives.

Other survivors include the following:
  • A daughter: Kimberly Hobbs of Owensboro, KY

  • A step-son: Jimmy Darren Blankenship and his wife Gayle of Greensburg; KY

  • Two step-daughters: MaDeana Blankenship of Greensburg, KY; and Carla Isaacs and her husband Gary of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three sisters and a brother-in-law: Anna and Damon Board of Elizabethtown, KY, Regina Shimanic of Lexington, KY; and Mary Payton of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Two grandchildren

  • Nine step-grandchildren

  • Six step-great-grandchildren

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Hobbs was also preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Hobbs; and a sister, Verna Jackson.

The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY in charge of arrangements.
