Mighty ADAIR convoy leaves for 20th State title at 9:35amCT

Columbia Police Department with escort convoy to Louie B. Nunn. Fans urged to wave ADAIR off to victories at Scottsville, and hopefully another chance for a 20th State Championship at L.T. Smith Stadium in Bowling Green tonight

The ADAIR Band leaves from the Band Room, 230 General John Adair Drive, Columbia, KY this morning, Saturday, October 29, 2011, at around 9:35amCT, to start their quest for a 20th State Championship in the State Semi-Finals at Allen County-Scottsville High School, 1545 Bowling Green Road, Scottsville, KY, a journey of just 61.8 miles, 1 hour 9 minutes, according to Google Maps. .

These kids have worked so hard this year and have a great show so hopes are high.

They start the day in Scottsville at performing at 1:30pmCT in the semi-finals. If ADAIR is in the top 4 scores of semi's they will advance to the final 4 tonight at L.T. Smith Stadium, Avenue of Champions, Bowling Green, KY. A distance of 70.4 miles, 1 hour 22 minutes, from the Raymond Lacy Music room in Columbia, KY, acccording to Google Maps.

I will try my best to keep everyone posted via CM today! If anyone would like to be along our route as we leave to show the kids your support THEY WOULD LOVE IT! The route out of town is as follows:
From the band room to the Adair Veterans Memorial Highway to Burkesville Road/KY 61 South, past Holladay Place and the Columbia Walmart, then West on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway.

ADAIR leaves Columbia, headed for Scottsville

With Doyle Lloyd in the lead, the 60 unit main ADAIR convoy rolled toward Scottsville, KY, and the Allen County-Scottsville High School for State Championship preliminaries for Kentucky Marching Band Class AAA which will determine the State Championship finalists who will compete in the Championship this evening at L.T. Smith Stadium on the campus of Western Kentucky University. ADAIR takes the field in the preliminaries at 1:30pmCT. For those going to Scottsville, the drive is approximately 1 hour, 9 minutes. Above, the convoy is leaving KY 61, going onto the Louie B. Nunn Parkway.
