Eugene "Shorty" LaFavers, LaFavers Road, Russell Springs, KY, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at 1:24pmCT, at his home in Russell Springs, KY.

The funeral service will be at Bethel United Baptist Church, Dunnville, KY, at 1pmCT, Saturday, October 29, 2011, with Bro. Billy Silverman officiatiing. Burial will be in in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Friday, October 29, 2011 at Bethel United Baptist Church.

Eugene (Shorty) LaFavers, Russell Co., KY (1930-2011)

Eugene "Shorty" LaFavers was born Thursday, June 5, 1930 in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY. He was the son of Lonnie LaFavers and Mollie Smith LaFavers. He died Wednesday, October 26, 2011, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY at the age of 81 years, 4 months, and 21 days.

He is survived by the following:
  • A son: Roger LaFavers, Russell Springs, KY

  • Five daughters: Carolyn Hadley, Gina Keith, Donna LaFavers, and Sonyja Silverman, and Betty Clark, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • A sister: Vivian Coomer, Shepherdsville, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Nine grandchidren
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda West; one sister, Violet Sullivan, and five brothrs, David Elliott, Bernie Glendal, James, Herbert Blondell, and Odos LaFaver.
