Colin Powell, Forbes president and CEO Steve Forbes and former college football coach Lou Holtz. "This was one of the most enjoyable and informative seminars I've ever attended," said Kenton Ryan Lee, an LWC freshman from Danville, KY. LWC senior Brett Boles said that he learned from Powell that, "It doesn't matter where you start in life, it's where you end up." Holtz taught him that, "If you don't have hope, you aren't dreaming; everything starts with a dream." The students' trip was funded by the LWC Horizons Program, which provides funds for student activities that develop a broader worldview through study-related fieldwork and travel. The students were from a business applications course led by Director of Community Education and Outreach Linda Grider and a leadership communication course led by Assistant Professor of Communication Anne Streeter. -DUANE BONIFER.
