Peggy Donita Goodin Brockman, Adair Co., KY (1952-2011)

She was a member of a large, respected Northeast Adair County family with strong family ties in Adair, Casey, Green, Pulaski and Russell Counties of South Central Kentucky. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Adair County. Her final earthly resting place will be at the Orr Cemetery in Green County.

Peggy Donita Brockman age 59 years of the Millerfield Community in Adair County passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 11:40pmCT, at Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral service Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 2:00 P. M. at Stotts-Phelps-McQuearyFuneral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. David Coffey the officiating clergy. Interment in Orr Cemetery in Green County. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Saturday, October 8, 2011, at the funeral home.

She was born on Thursday, July 10, 1952 in Adair County, KY She was the daughter of the late Junior Goodin and Mary Helen Coomer Goodin who survives. She died Wednesday, October 5, 2011, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY, at the age of 59 years, 2 months, and 55 days.Besides her mother she is survived by her husband Danny Brockman of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Daniel Brockman and wife Sarah of Nancy, KY

  • One daughter: Amanda Evans and husband Dwayne of Dunnville, KY

  • One sister: Judy Sinclair of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Gary Goodin and wife Janette of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Tristan and Lexxus Evans

  • Two step-grandchildren: Payton and Liz Evans

  • Several nieces, nephews

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
She was a member of New Hope Separate Baptist Church.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
