Funeral services will be Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 10amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, with Bro. Gene Sneed officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 3pmCT, Friday August 26, 2011.



Casket bearers: Craig Silvey, James R. Sneed, Tim Sneed, Eugene Kistler, Charles Edward Higginbotham, Jr. and Larry Blakley.
Mildred Keltner Sneed, formerly of Adair Co., KY

She was born Sunday, April 4, 1926 in Springfield, Sangamon Co. IL. She was the daughter of the late Carter and Vester Moss Keltner. She died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at her son's home in Louisville, Jefferson CO, KY, at the age of 85 years, 4 months, and 20 days.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ray Sneed in 1997, and three sisters, Flora Blakley, Nola Sneed and Velma Keltner.

Survivors include the following:
  • One son: James Arlis Sneed and wife Barbara of Louisville, KY

  • One daughter: Judy L. Higginbotham and husband Charles of LexingtonOne brother: George Henry Keltner of MilltownFive grandchildren: Rebecca (Gene) Kistler, James R. (Lisa) Sneed, Timothy (Kelli) Sneed, Kimberly (Craig) Silvey and Charles Edward (Sharon) Higginbotham, Jr.

  • Five great-grandchildren: Leigh Ann Travis, Summer and Casey Sneed, and Lucia and Owen Higginbotham
