Mrs. Orthella Marie Clark, 71, of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.

The funeral services for Mrs. Orthella Marie Clark will be conducted at 10amCT, Monday, August 22, 2011 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Brooks-Pierce Cemetery in Green County. Bro. Lee Warf will be officiating. Visitation is requested 2pm-8pmCT, Sunday, August 21, 2011, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT Monday until time of the funeral service.



Orthella Marie Clark, Green Co., KY (1940-2011)

Mrs. Orthella Marie Clark of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Ernest L. Coomer and Nellie Christine McKinney Coomer, was born on Wednesday, April 17, 1940 in Green Co, KY and departed this life on Friday, August 19, 2011 in Elizabethtown, Hardin Co, KY. She was 71 years, 4 months and 2 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Trammell Creek Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Harold Patrick "Shorty" Clark on November 6, 1961 who preceded her in death on April 13, 2007.

Survivors include the following:
  • Three sons and two daughters-in-law: Squeezer and Beverly Pierce of Greensburg, KY; Michael and Jane Pierce of Alabama, and Earle Clark of Florida

  • A daughter and son-in-law: Kaynell and David Underwood of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Chris Jones and Blake Jones both of Greensburg, KY

  • Two brothers and sisters-in-law: Richard and Ruth Coomer of Arizona, and Donnie and Judy Coomer of Greensburg, KY

  • A sister: Priscilla Bailey of West Virginia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which can be made at the funeral home. The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY in charge of arrangements.
