Darrel Wethington, 78, passed away Saturday August 6, 2011at his home in Casey Co., KY.

Funeral services are 1pmET/12pm noon CT, Tuesday August 9, 2011 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Jeff Edwards officiating. Burial is at Brush Creek Cemetery with military honors by the Casey County Funeral Squad. Visitation is 6pm-9pmET/5pm-8pmCT, Monday, August 8, 2011, at the funeral home.

He was born Monday July 3, 1933 in Casey Co., KY, He was the son of the late T. Walter and Alice Wethington. He died Saturday, August 6, 2011, in Casey Co., KY, at the age of 78 years, 1 month, and 3 days.

He was the widower of Villa D. Lynn Wethington . He was a retired plumber , electrician and an Army veteran.

Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia W. Bishop of Liberty; son, Darrell Wethington of Liberty; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Laverne Wethington of Campbellsville and brother, Carlos Wethington of Mt. Washington.

In addition to his parents and wife , he is preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Colvin and two brothers, Homer and Arlis Wethington.

McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY in charge of arrangements.
